The Winter Nuclear and Particle Physics Conference is a national meeting for the Canadian subatomic physics community, with a special focus on providing a forum for junior researchers (students and postdocs) and interaction with groups across Canada.

The 2014 meeting is being organised by University of Manitoba and TRIUMF, and as usual will feature sessions focusing on the research areas of interest to the Canadian community (both experimental and theoretical). There will be a number of invited talks by experts in these fields.

  • Nuclear physics and reactions; nuclear astrophysics
  • Standard Model and the hadronic weak interactions
  • Anti-matter physics
  • Neutrino physics
  • High energy astrophysics
  • Particle physics and QCD

When registering, please indicate whether you will be contributing a talk, so that we know to expect your abstract. Graduate students in particular are encouraged to attend, and to present their work in front of their peers from across the country. Prizes will be awarded for the best student talks, funded by our sponsors.

The meeting runs from Thursday February 13, until Sunday February 16 with the reception on Thursday evening.
