Notes for Speakers

Abstracts:

Abstracts prepared with your favorite editor should look like this PDF example, and should not exceed one page.

A latex template can be downloaded here. The example also gives you more details. Please send both the source and the PDF file, as email attachments to gezerlis@uoguelph.ca.

The deadline for abstract submission is January 12, 2015.

Talk Format:

Contributed talks are 12 minutes with 2 or 3 minutes for discussion.

Invited talks are 25 minutes with 5 minutes for discussion.

To keep the program on track, all talks will be given using one computer, and you will need to upload your talk prior to your session.

Either:

  • Send your talk to gezerlis@uoguelph.ca well in advance (at least 2 hours) of your session
  • Or, at the very latest, upload your talk via a memory stick prior to the session in which you are speaking. The accepted file formats include PDF and PPT (although PDF is generally more platform-independent). Please ensure that your presentation works after uploading it.
